Vermentino is a white grape variety grown in various locations around the Mediterranean Sea: northwestern Italy, southern France and the neighbouring islands of Sardinia and Corsica.
The Vermentino “Boboli” by Giacomelli tells us about an extraordinary piece of land, on the hills of Castelnuovo Magra that are a natural panoramic terrace towards the Tyrrhenian Sea and the breathtaking Cinque Terre.
The combination of the mild climate, due to the Tyrrhenian Sea, and of the soil rich in minerals, results in wines with a very distinctive and special character, especially the ones made with Vermentino grapes.
The producer’s philosophy aims to enhance the development of the local viticultural heritage which brought him to revive the vineyard of “Boboli”, one of the historical vineyards of Castelnuovo Magra, planted for the first time back in 1913 below the walls of the Medieval Castle of the village.
The Vermentino “Boboli” is a white wine of medium body, bright straw yellow, soft and fragrant with notes of verbena and citrus fruit, nice freshness and a mineral finish.
To enjoy this organic wine at its best, we recommend that you let it breathe for 15-20 minutes before serving.
Best served at 10-12 °C.
