Pane guttiau is the island’s most traditional bread. In the past it was considered the shepherds’ traditional meal. As they often stayed away from home for days, they used to keep this dry bread in their sack and eat it with cheese. Its super crispy thin sheets offer a taste bud explosion and go perfectly with Sardinian cheeses or with local cold cuts. Pane guttiau is also delicious served with fresh tomatoes, salt and extra-virgin olive oil on top. Weight: 100 g.
